If she could only add sexy vet Nick to the picture, it would be perfect. Connelly’s couple’s differences made the read real as Nick and Darcy stumble past obstacles toward the finish line to love. A perfect small-town setting, a memorable cast of co-stars and sensual yet tender love scenes bring the story to life.

DADDY ON HER DOORSTEP (4) by Lilian Darcy: Highly intelligent, proud and efficient Claudia Nelson is a single- by-choice mother, and is taking care of things on her own. Her laid-back landlord, Dr. Andy McKinley, is amused and intrigued by Claudia’s fastidiousness. An attraction quickly sparks between them but they both vow not to follow through with it. Yet Andy finds he can’t help himself and Claudia realizes that she really does want someone, specifically Andy, to share her life with after all. A tender story with well-defined characters makes this a compelling, interesting read.

It doesn’t take long for Scarlett and Daniel to come together again — their mutual attraction is intense and almost earth-shattering. However, their relationship didn’t work out six years ago, and they both question whether it could work now. Strong writing coupled with passion-filled scenes and sympathetic, complex characters makes this one a page-turner.

Jack Lightfoot is surprised to see his old high school friend again. Things were never the same between Anne and Jack after the death of a mutual friend. In addition, feelings between them that were left unaddressed are now resurfacing. Love is there, but it will take leaving behind all the bad memories and guilt to move on together. A touching story that will tug at the heartstrings.
